| | lacquer that they had simply originally

| Japanese, I feel that you need to know

| | copied.The Chinese had used shades of
|
| more about lacquer, the extraordinary
| |
| | black, brown, yellow, green, and mostly
|
| medium that was used. Only then will you
| |
| | red or cinnabar Lacquer. They mainly
|
| fully appreciate these brilliant
| |
| | favoured deep carving of the Lacquer, to
|
| creations.For readers who are unfamiliar
| |
| | form the decoration, and produced some
|
| with old Japanese lacquer, I suspect you
| |
| | outstanding work.They often applied the
|
| will be thinking of the typical modern
| |
| | colours in layers, so that once carved,
|
| lacquer trays and bowls that are
| |
| | these colours would be revealed. One

| | were copied, but by about the 15th

| extensive use.The earliest known Japanese

| | century the Japanese had become,
|
| lacquer dates back to about the 7th
| |
| | justifiably, the unrivalled masters of
|
| Century, but it was not until the 14th
| |
| | the art!Lacquer was, quite rightly,
|
| and 15th century that the Japanese
| |
| | highly valued for its lasting qualities
|
| lacquer works became so much more
| |
| | and strength. A very high gloss could be
|
| decorative. By then they had refined and
| |
| | achieved, proving impervious to alcohol,
|
| created exceptional techniques, far finer
| |
| | acids and hot liquids.
